KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Voters in some Kansas City precincts had to spend extra time in already long lines this morning because poll workers were given the wrong voter registration books.

Voters at All Souls Church at 45th and Walnut Streets and at a polling place in Westport were told by poll workers that they were not on the list of registered voters for that polling place. There also were unconfirmed reports of other precincts suffering similar problems.

The problems caused delays in what was already expected to be a busy day at the polls.

Lines at polling places across Missouri formed well before dawn, with voters showing up in the dark with chairs, books and plenty of coffee.

My oldest child had to vote provisional because my child's name wasn't in the book.
It seems being registered doesn't guarantee that they let you vote.ohwell

Odd things happening at a few places in KC and the suburbs.

Anything strange happen where your voting today?

the article may be referring to that but I have friends that live all around the area and it's happening

happened to my child and that's not in the low income area

that should not be an issue anyway
just because someone is low income doesn't mean they are democrat

I know a lot of republicans that are low to middle income

We put the ballots into a new machine. It just sucks the ballot right into it. It used to be a box.

It spit mine out a few times. It wouldn't even take another person's ballot. The person working there didn't know what to do about it.

It only took me 30 minutes to vote. But..I have friends that voted very early in the morning and it took them 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours to vote.

friends I know have had problems voting today
I told them not to give up
hang in there it's too important to just shrug off

also
it's strange
there were to different ways of voting
my parents had the little stick that makes the holes and I hand a stamp like a little permanent marker

I thought that was strange, but the light turned green so my vote counted
I guess that's all that matters

A light turned green? What light?laugh

I used a pen to color in the circles. The only other choice was the new machines.

I didn't know that there were so many ways to do it.laugh
