There was a time (early JSH) when it was a LOT worse.

Now, it's basically a few small groups who like to post 32-page threads of the same 6 people making the same 6 posts 100 times each. They're boring and there's no substance and most of the dialogue sounds like third graders who have spent too many hours sniffing glue in an unventilated area.

The OLD cliques at least had a little class -- when they excluded you, you FELT excluded. The new ones are just pathetic. You wouldn't WANT to be a part of those groups....

Well the main reason I ask this is because I have seen people here beat up on some newbies who may not "know" how things work here But the way I see it is most times we are just protecting our site from becoming trashy There's true friends here and most people are really cared for and welcomed. And to be honest, when I see some of the posts some people put up... they kinda deserve to be beat up on just a lil but

Re: the beating up of newbies -- There was recently a shameful exhibition of behavior by some members here, who ganged up on a new person whom they apparently believed was the recipient of too much attention (whatever that means) -- I didn't see THAT as a "clique" situation so much -- more like a sort of loose affiliation of different members, some of whom wouldn't qualify as cliquish in the least, uniting for the sole purpose of attacking someone they perhaps were jealous of, or felt threatened by -- a sad display, but I learned a lot by watching the debacle....

Lex, I'm not referring to the "shameful exhibition" I have seen those and there's just no excuse for that. I mean the ones their whole 1 whopping post is why cant I find anyone? No one ever emails me. Or "I'm looking for a hot cougar" Or "wheres all da females at? I need 2 of um" Those are just trashy and I don't mind if they go away a lil mad
