Yes you definitely can.
Click on the "Search" tab at the top to find matches that meet your criteria. You can click on "Change search preferences" on the search page to change your criteria if you'd like. Once your list of matches appears, click on any of the matches to view their profile. If you're interested in sending them a message, just click on the "Email this user" button on their profile.
