I agree he could make the effort I know I would too . Just sayin though in the scheme of things way down the importance list of what makes a man or a woman .I've dated women who could'nt afford alot of nice things .did'nt bother me

Just ask him if he likes it that you try to look nice for him. (I am sure he does) You deserve the same common courtesy. If you want to be with someone who loves you and is willing to put zero effort into looking nice for you....get a dog.

As far as I am concerned, there is no excuse for not trying to be more physically appealing for a mate. That is just lazy and apathetic. I sure as hell won't put up with it from my woman...because I take the time to groom myself and yes, I do wear slacks and dress shirts out in public. I wear grubby clothes to work too so his job is no excuse.
