San Diego is probably one of the most expensive places to live in the
USA. But I would not give it up. People COME HERE. This is a
distinguished place and we get about 300 days of sunshine every year.
At lot of people have come down from Los Angeles and stayed. I was born
here and I am not leaving except for an exotic Panamanian beauty or a
doll from French Polynesia.
Enjoy yourself. Use this post to talk up the city. I believe the best
and the brighest live her and business does also, we are home to
Qualcomm and Jack in the Box and our sports teams are in the thick of it
every year.
cya at Pacific Beach or La Jolla.

ironic...

I'm actually thinking of buying a home in San Diego, because I want a
cheaper beach house than I can get here in San Francisco.

Maybe that's because San Franciso is just ridiculously expensive...

But ya, I've heard many good things about San Diego.

Mean average for a home in San Diego as I write is $487,525, gasoline is
$3.15 a gallon at the least, most $3.50, guess what, Ol' Mr. Goodwrench
won{t do a threemonths service on your car for less $59.00+ tax, a
ticket to Disneyland costs more than $50.00 and it da*mn near as high at
Sea World and Universal City tours. The zoo is almost reasonable and
the Wild Animal Park, a magnificent place, is very high.
I shopped around for a popular automobile not too long ago, I ended up
buying it for $1,500 less at a Roseville, CA dealer over the internet.
Come at your own risk, the country accesssor will welcome you once a
year.

The mean average for a home just went down to $475.000 and interest
rates are higher. Real estate people here who have been living like
royalty for a couple of years are taking on other things to sell part
time.

I will let you know when it is a buyer's market again
