No folks we are not going to talk about "marital aids"

It's something far less provocative.

I won't argue that double ended male adapters are or are not a fire and safety hazard.

I will say that the ability to be safe, mechanical and logical when dealing with household tasks is in short supply with many people. After all most accidents occur in the home and many of them happen in connection with home repairs. Fires are often times connected to products that are improperly installed, worn or maintained. Certianly it is important to know and follow safety proceedures.

Or as Norm Abram would say,"Before we use any power tools, let's take a moment to talk about shop safety. Be sure to read, understand, and follow all the safety rules that come with your power tools. Knowing how to use your power tools properly will greatly reduce the risk of personal injury. And remember this — there is no more important safety rule than to wear these — safety glasses."

But...immoral??? How far are people going to take homophobia?

I wonder if this store has signs by the bastard files cautioning against sexual activity outside marriage?

At the risk of allowing this post to devolve into a discussion about the morality of "double ended male" products in general — we thought we'd share this photo of a sign spotted in the window of an ACE Hardware store.
(photo of the sign at the site listed above)
It reads:

Double ended male "adapters" are illegal, dangerous, a fire hazard, and possible [sic] immoral.
If you have need of this "adapter" you have hung a string of lights backwards.

Reader Ben, who spotted the sign says:

I didn't realize that using the wrong adapter is "possible immoral." If the sign creator thinks those adapters are sinful, I'd hate to hear what he or she thinks of a Jenna Jameson movie.

We don't have anything to say about the morality of these "adapters," but we are having fun picturing the number of times this product was requested before the manager finally threw a fit and made this sign.
