This is my last reply on this topic because it doesn't appear that you're understanding what I'm saying and we're both spinning our wheels.

1. By your own definition torture is:
the infliction of bodily pain or mental suffering either [bold]as [/bold]punishment, to compel a person to confess to a crime or provide information, or to intimidate, coerce, discriminate against, or repress a person or group of people for political purposes.

In the case of police departments, they are not intended to be used as previously defined. They are used to gain compliance from a resistant person.

2. They are not used to intimidate; refer to #1

3. If you choose to shock your children then that is between you, your child and your local police department and child services if necessary.

As I've stated several times, maybe you need to do a little more research on the topic. Have fun.

No it shows thier is a great divide between citizens and the police.

I hear what you are saying and you may be like that but it is not where I live at.

let me give you an example of what happened to me the 1st part of May 2007.

I speak out against a certain crooked police dept.

I had taken a shower and was getting dressed in the bedroom.

I hear a knock and 2 guys are at the door and they ask my fiance if i was thier. she said yes.

They say they are friends of mine from High School and go into the living room.

I come out and one ask do you know who I am. I said well not really but I guess you are from High School.

DNo I am with Drug Inforcement and we have a warrant for your arrest.

They said lets go back and you finish getting ready and we will talk. So one followed me into the bedroom and the other stood at the door.

Then I come out i said let me see that warrant. He held it and it said on it " caution Dangerous"

I said what is this BS.

He said I know you do not seem dangerous and we will get you a copy of the warrant when we get to the jail.

He said I do not really understand why we are down here either he said you do not seem dangerous to me.

So he did not handcuff me and we went out and got in a old ford pickup and I sat behind him.

He then told me that he did not know what was up.. His boss told them to go get me and not let anyone else do it.

I found out later they stopped at Dispatch in the small town where I live at and flashed thier badges said they had a warrant for me.

Dispatch said we know him we will call him and tell him we need to come in.

They said no we will get him.

Dispatch said we usually send one of our officers to get someone from this county.

They told her well not this time they would get me on thier own.

Now I get to the jail and they process me and I ask for a copy of the warrant.

They said they would go get it after processing.

Ok.

well they came back and said we can not find it it must of already gone to where you are being taken.

bThey went up and put me in jail and i fell asleep and about midnight a cop comes up and says come on they want you.

I said what it is storming like hell.

He said I know but they want you tonight they said rain or not.

Took me out and met on a gravel road and transported me.

when we got to thier jail I asked for a copy of the warrant.

They said they do not know where it is i will have to talk to days.

I bail out the next morning now they have got a bond on me.

I ask where is the warrant.

Oh it must be at the clerks office and you have to go before the judge at 1pm.

So i go and ask the clerk. she says well either it has not came yet or the judge has it.

I go before the judge and she is bewildered and I tell her about this and how about the warrant.

The judge did not know what to say that she had nothing and she never signed no warrant and lets me go.

I am about getting pissed now I drive back home and go to dispatch.

I ask her if she has the warrant serve me.

she said it should be here and she looked.

she could not find it. She said it has to be on something mules maybe it was a abreviation for where all the warrants are on the state computer that are active or been served.

She looked and looked nothing. She said she did not know what to say because she knows they had a warrant. she saw it.

She said go check with them.

I call the drug inforcement office and they said no we never served you a warrant.

They said call this troop and gave me the number.

Nope you were not ever served a warrant.

Npow what is going on here. I still do not know and when I went back and asked the dispatch about the warrant again i asked I said what kind of a warrant is yellow.

she said i do not know. she remembered thier was a warrant but she had never seen a yellow one.

She said unless it was some special warrant.

I tried to do something about this but everyone said as far as we know what you say happened never happened.

We do not know how anything like this happened and all paper work was gone on me.

I can not do any thing i have been told even when i went to a lawyer. The dispatch told me she said i have been doing this for 29 years and i have never seen anything like this happen.

Do you know what a yellow warrant is for?

I think it was to tell me to shut up. is what i think

I lknow they are.

just look at the technique that is being used on them.. It is almost as if they are being brainwashed to not see us as anything.

This is the way Nazi germany worked to get a Police state where they see us as hiding something and they are in control.

That they need to break us to save us.

We need to wake up.

When cops start thinking that prisoners of war should be treated better that united States Citizens by the Police..Watch out.

These Tazers are hardening them.. Cops did not think like this 20 or 30 years ago.

This made up terror they have produced has the cops scared of who they may run into.

Shoot ask questions later.

we are close to a Police State IMO.

And we do not even reconganize it..

Because there are different political perspectives as to what an appropriate balance is between individual freedom and national security, there are no definitive objective standards to determine whether the term "police state" applies to a particular nation at any given point in time. Thus, it is difficult to evaluate objectively the truth of allegations that a nation is, or is becoming, a police state. One way to view the concept of the police state and the free state is through the medium of a balance or scale, where any law focused on removing liberty is seen as moving towards a police state, and any law which limits government oversight is seen as moving towards a free state.[2]

War is often portrayed in fiction as a perfect precursor to establishing a police state, as citizens are more dependent on their government and the police for safety than usual

Okay, I have to say...it's great when people can easily obtain info and all that. However...there might be some unknowns here.

Although it looks pretty damned bad I think people should allow some time for an official investigation.

i agree with cops being brainwashed. Its probably part of their training and of course cops do believe they are more than one notch higher than the people they arrest. they got POWER behind them. and the more bs arrests they make.....the more money the make for the system.

and tazers...omg...really?? I dont even think we need this kind of weapon on the streets personally. there is strength in numbers..so why the heck do you need to tazer a 'suspect' when he is already outnumbered?? and you got a gun at your hip????

shoot I used to work with this one cop...who ran over some dudes foot. I dont remember why..perhaps he was standing to close to his patrol car. who knows....

cops DO good things also, i know this. there are lots and lots of bad people out there. BUT half the crap...home evasions and stuff cops dont even waste their TIME with it. possibly to hard to prove...but speeding...getchu a ticket every time.

but it does seem guilty until proven innocent...and if u r innocent..well pray you got money and witnesses.

they work for the state.and its all about money. money and taking care of their own.

Not sure if I unstand you..

an official investigation and who would do it?

Thats like investigating yourself isn't it?

Kind of like the 911 report or waco ect.?

You got that right.

The cops go through a lot of training to learn how to take someone down who resists.

yet they prefer to Taze you and it is not like they have never heard of anyone dieing after being Tazed.

The only reasons drs are saying that is not the cause is because it is a high voltage with low amps.

so at 50,000 volts at 1/10 of an amp you have 5000 watts. That is a quick generator.

The drs because of this they do not see any burn marks or tissue damage that looks cooked.

Your heart feels it though.

Watch a video of someone being tazed and someone who is trying to get a heart started.

Both bodies jump.

You do not go around shocking people with one of those.

But if they lowered the voltage by a factor of 10.. for 5000 volts and raised the current by 10 for 1 amp.

Both cases you have 5000 watts.

This case would be severe burning to a person.

The High Voltage is the same but it really clamps down on your muscles and just what do they think your heart is anyway?

hearts are shocked at 200-300 joules...Im not sure of what the conversion is.

and the shock is delivered directly over the heart..

i think a tazer uses extremities.....(or should.

but still I view it as unsafe. and to me it is an act of intimidation most likely.

of course some of the criminals that run ther street do need intimidation..........
But...if u do it with onw you have to do it with all.....

and again...
the criminals are still innocent per the cops eyes.......or should be.

Well that is nothing compared to a Tazer.

it is 1 watt = 1 joule a joule rises in 1 second to 1 watt.

so when they use a defiberator i believe it is called not sure.

But it is only 200 to 300 watts max that rises to that point in 1 sec.

My guess is that it is like it's own sine wave rising to 300 watts in 1 sec falling and then rising.. That is a guess but makes sence to melaugh drinker

i could see how the use of a tazer could stimulate a heart attack. very easily actually. and given that some peoples hearts are weak already due to past drug use or through a disease process. whatever, you dont know a persons medical history before shocking them. cops were less likly to use their guns....but give them a weapon like a tazer and i hear about them using it for any reason at anytime. no matter if they have their suspect already under control.

Yea it just blows my mind that the UN has said they are not to be used on POW's and yet we say oh they are just a tool they do not hurt nobody.

A little biased I would say as a lot of money is being made off Tazers.

For a unBiased report why do we not use the UN's mandates on subjects like this?

We go to them to go to war.
