Just wanted to share what I heard on the radio today...researchers secured a tiny thread to a male mosquito and a tiny thread to a female mosquito (how to sex a mosquito, I don't know); then released them in order that they might observe their mating process. What scientests discovered, unwittingly, was mosquitos cannot mate until both partners attain the same harmonic vibration! (Interesting?) They recorded the specimens buzzing up until their vibrations matched--what a joy! Have not googled or youtubed this yet, but surely it's out there. : )
