Topic: My political theory

I'm an independent (American)- this is my observation of the political
parties.

Republicans- They know what they're doing, but they're complete
---holes.

Democrats- They mean well, but they couldn't run a government if someone
who could actually did it for them.

It's a rule of thumb that usually holds true. The Bush administration
is an exception- they're also incompetent.

So let's build a wall around them!

Ok. The other thread was worthy of jokes. But this one's serious. Keep
the satire out, thank you.

An insular wall of new political theory developed by the greatest minds
we will never see.

Damn, you're gullible!

Thu 04/19/07 07:48 PM
Right. Now how does one go about reporting someone on this site?

nusalor's photo
Thu 04/19/07 07:55 PM
Wow, you're touchy kid! And you don't play well with others.

I'm not the one coming into serious threads with sarcasm and insults.

Thu 04/19/07 07:58 PM
Oops. Seems I inadvertently broke a rule or two, myself. I'm sorry,
whomever it is that has anything to do with this stuff.

nusalor's photo
Thu 04/19/07 07:59 PM
And I'm not the one posting "serious" threads as such an obvious setup!
Get over it!

No "setup". Just me expressing an opinion and seeking feedback. Unless
that's what you mean by setup, in which case, I don't see the problem.

hmmmm....

well, i dont agree with jumping on and off of band wagons, Im a bush
administration fan, so what they cant cover up stuff like the Clinton's,
I think that honesty that they promote is very refreshing, you dont like
it, well fine, forget you- is my opinion in general terms. And I dont
agree with we're a--holes either, why is that you say we re, because we
are realist and believe that it doesnt take a government to raise our
children, or depend on them to pay our bills, we arent haters of people,
we want them to succeed, to many people have this mentality that they
are owed something, why is that, did you do something worthy of being
paid? no- your trying tpo get something for nothing you did, but someone
else did, and that unfortunately is the new american way, disgustingly
empathetic.

dems could do a better job if they werent running around 100% of the
time talking about how the sky is fallin. i know they have some smart
people there, but they're afraid to speak up and out against the dem
political machine, which BTW has gotton so big and out of control that
dems themselves dont really drive it anymore.

rule of thumb? what beat your wife as long as the stick isnt more than a
thumbs width? not looking to discuss that old axiom.

most americans are republicans in my opinion, but they were raised with
the word democrats on their lips and feel its a violation of the beliefs
to say or realize what they truely are.
if you dont want to be spoon fed your life, then your a republican- its
that freakin simple.

as a republican- idont care about your race, your sexuality, your
feelings of rights to abort your child ( i dont agree with you that its
okay- but.. its not my body is it?), if you need help I will be there, i
dont feel that making everybody but me pay higher taxes is the way to
solve the budget problems, i think that paying 50 million dollars to run
a campaigne for a 200,000 dollar a year job is ridiculous(so campaigne
finance reform is needed), i believe in the old principles of social
security system (happy to explain what that was if you need me to),
religion is not a prerequisite for being a republican either- hell im an
agnostic, however i do believe in keeping our own identities- we were
founded because we want the right to believe what ever we believe, when
ever we wanted. now those rights have seem to have been degraded and are
eroding away day after day in the name of, a country that is minority
ran, and by that i do not mean in a racial way, it seems that too few
are determining the rights of the many and that my friend just does not
fly with me.

i'd love ot spend all day on this but im sure most of you are pissy
already and if youve read this far then i have hope for you.

And my feedback is build a wall. Money is the mother's milk of politics
and any reform will have to start with campaign finance. Walls of people
used to outrile walls of money.
There is an old group of politicos doing that on the internet right now.
I'm sorry I can't recall the name, but with your smarts, you should look
them up and get involved. You seem fired up for change. Why not become a
part of it?

Thu 04/19/07 08:07 PM
Well, the general opposition to gay marriage, for example. And their
opposition to other cultural reforms (including women's sufferage) over
the decades. And the cheerful willingness to overlook the damage our
country's general decedance causes.

And I didn't mean every last member. I'm talking the political leaders.

Alright, I'll bite.

I find it interesting when anyone identifies politicians by their
political parties. That may be the label that they choose to operate
under, however, nowadays Republicans hold Democratic beliefs and vice
versa. Not to mention the very breakdown of the system that was designed
to survive in spite of partisanship, not because of it. In fact, we as a
society actually let people govern us who don't understand the
principles on which our (american) nation is founded.

if your gay and you want to marry someone then go ahead, i dont care ,
it doesnt effect me in the least, do you deserve extra rigths because of
it hell no, womens sufferage- i think honestly we're past it dont you?
bra's were burn a long time ago, but theres the victim status thing
rearing its ugly head.

me get involved and change things.... yeah id love to but dont think
theyd let me join the party on either side, im a free thinker, and call
people out on their BS.

and as far as neither side remembering the foundations that this country
were built upon, your absolutely right.

I prpose another party, this one we'll call the american party.

exactly what i meant when is said, would put analyst out of business.

I think that name's been taken. Could be wrong, though.

And, yes, we're beyond the sufferage movement- but I was providing
examples throughout history. And democrats have consistently crippled
our police and military, damaged our economy, and let rogue nations do
all kinds of crazy ----.

well if its taken already then it needs to be revived.

history is laden with a sorts of examples of wrongs, and rights, for us
to learn from. its our responsibility as humans to not relive the
mistakes of the past or create new problems cause we didnt learn a damn
thing and decided we new everything and no one knows more.

i hate arrogant know it al types, thats most politicians in my opinion,
their better then thou attitudes, argh make me wanna just scream
sometime.

and im not alled fired up, just hate injustices.
