i agree with the theory that love is an addiction.
for the weak. and unless it had a part in creating me or is soemthing that i created...it is merely an addiction. and i DO know how to make my brain immune to said addiction. eliminate the impulses....all of em. that activate my receptors. its science after all. |

The first phone call I refuse to answer is the hardest. I know inside when it doesn't feel right, and no one's opinion will change it. I've found that when I'm at this point, it's done, and to prolong it would eventually result in whatever outcome I was expecting anyway. If that's where you're at, you know where it really is already, and need to trust that feeling. Then again, and if I'm reading you right, he's already selling his stuff to move in with you? It may only be nervousness over a step that big. It would be best to listen to the twinges of doubt inside of you about any big decisions, and to trust them. That's the last vestige of sanity creeping in to warn you before you make a mistake you'll regret later. this is better then unkown years of misery. and pain. i am sorry.....i wish it wasnt so. but but....love isnt real. Love is very real, but often infatuation is often confused with love. Infatuation and love can exist in the same relationship, but if there's no meat on the bones, it becomes obvious very quickly. If you're very fortunate, both exist. You see that sort of thing when you see an old couple exhibiting PDA, and how they are very attentive of each other in public places. Whatever you do, take your time and think it though. Write about it. Talk to your friends about what's going on in your head, and possibly as a courtesy, let him know that you need the time to breathe and work things out in your mind. If he can't handle that, he may well help you finalize your decision by pushing it. |
