The country has caught the "Katrina Attitude". Just lay down and expect someone to take care of everything. We should be the adults and stand up, help each other, and make ourselves what the American Dream really is.

Our current corporate-friendly, free-trade, supply-side, "trickle-down theory" economic policies of the last thirty years. It should be obvious that the economic path our elected officials has failed miserably, and have only served to make the rich richer while the rest of us have to fight for the scraps.

In order to affect some REAL change (and not the supposed change as proposed by the current Obama administration), there must be a fundamental change in government policy with regard to our economy. Government has to be smaller, and there needs to be a fair-trade, "trickle-up" monetary policy in place, where the ones who have traditionally kept the country running (the American citizen) are allowed to live, work, and pay their fair share of taxes.
