Clown
Sitting here all alone The place where I sit my home The tears in my eyes bring joy But I am falling Out here no one knows The face behind big red nose A clown in a circus act Just performing The people laugh The people smile To the act that I made To make all those children happy The sound of the audience roar And want another encore They paid so they want more With more applauding Candy floss fills the air As a lion sits on a chair Why can’t I walk trapeze It more rewarding Not long to go To end the show And the fat man throws a pie To wipe the tear from my eye. |
