Expected moments
Yes I have tried to understand you baby Picking up pieces in sweet recall Time had moved on And we grew apart And love flew away in the fall I never expected moments like this baby We seem to have built so many walls Once I was your clown And we fooled around But now there is nothing at all But please stay To pick one more flower And let’s spend an hour And pretend we are free Then one day If I ever need you And I ever see you I will say I believe Trouble may come in by stormy weather Our choice back then was to ride the sail We had no plan We just set a course We thought that we could not fail Built on an impulse as deep as oceans Strong as the currents as far below We had our fun Our laughter in moonlight But gradually the current turned slow But please stay To pick one more flower And let’s spend an hour And pretend we are free Then one day If I ever need you And I ever see you I will say I believe Give me a song that I can sing too baby Write me a line so that I can hold And maybe one day We’ll be able to smile And let that last tear drop go. But please stay To pick one more flower And lets spend an hour And pretend we are free Then one day If I ever need you And I ever see you I will say I believe. |
