The Stimulus package went through as we know.

How much do you think a citizen will get from this package to help pay their mortgage, get unemployment money, or help releave them from anykind of debt?

or

Will the common citizen not seeing anything happen at all?

How do you feel about this package and do you think it was a good idea?

I personally don't won't any of my money funding someone that can't pay their mortgage. They signed a contract to pay it and if they can't then they should lose their house.
I don't mind paying for unemployment because I may someday be unemployed myself.
Due to my income I won't see any real benfit from the tax code changes.

We won't see a dime, unless you work for one of those company's with state contracts. Then you might get a day's worth of overtime. Just more pork spending to help out all little people who got him there.

February 18, 2009 Huffington Post

"We are facing nothing less than a national emergency, with 10,000 Americans going into foreclosure every day and 2.3 million homeowners having faced foreclosure proceedings in 2008."

That affects the economy in so many ways!!

I understand we'll be getting $13 a week.

Can't help but wonder...is this $13 that they are giving us, or is this $13 that they are not taking away from us?

what what what

Nobody gets anything taken away.

Down the road if you make over $250,000/yr., you'll be taxed at the same rate as it was before Bush took office.

Knowledge is power!!! remember that and know that the only thing you can do is educate the masses. don't worry about the ones that are just stubborn and bobble headed they'll come around when the smarter people come around, the bobble heads are followers ya know.

We are actually borrowing that money from places like China and elsewhere.
We owe them billions, we only pay the interest right now. It's not like we haven't been doing this all along already.
The housing bailout isn't for everyone that is in trouble, only those that aren't found to have known what they were doing. Much is to help those that are still making payments but are in arrears for more than the home is worth. It will add another ten years to their mortgage.
It is said that the refiancing of these new mortgages will save the average homeowner 2000 a year on their payments. It isn't free money, it comes back in the long run.

Did you know that the deficit on Iraq hasn't even been figured yet? The Bush admin never put in in the deficit, it is unknown how much has really been spent and is owed.

we aren't borrowing the money from anyone other than the people who own the federal reserve and the rest of the central banks around the world. none of the governments or countries own any of the central banks.

Say what you will: but those words came directly form the mouths of the government. We owe we owe we owe so many for the monies we borrowed early on.

We have borrowed from Russia and China for sure.

please understand this. our money is created out of THIN AIR!!! when you have money created out of thin air you don't have to borrow it from anyone else!!!!!! you just keep creating it!!! another thing you don't realize is that only one third of our currency is distributed amongst us in the form of paper money, the rest is all digital numbers stored in a database. the federal reserve's own pamphlet called "money market mechanics" explains the nature of creating money from thin air very thoroughly.

china and the other countries just buy our debt from us in the form of securities vehicles.

This is a fact. We owe those countries so very much. Our last stimulus checks came from China's monies.

I have been researching since my post; I find ten trillion...I also heard it mentioned on tv during some kind of political crap.

China and others have loaned us monies while holding our stocks and much more til they get paid back. Of which we only pay the interest.

and remember to watch the video. after you watch it, ask yourself this
"if the federal reserve can create money out of thin air why would it have to borrow money from anywhere else?" after you ask yourself that question please post the answer here so i can read it.
