Will I see you tonight?
Will I see you tonight? Will you lead the parade? And will you wear that red dress You know - you can’t be late You will carry the stars? And I will catch the moon as it falls And quench the thirst of the sunrise As it rises above - the ocean Only dreaming alone Only dreaming alone I count the seconds to see you Yet you don’t know I’m there I’m that man in the shadows With half lit candle - table and chair Did Jesus find pleasure? Must you sin before you are saved? Then these thoughts I have of you this moment Will lead me from my cradle to my grave Only dreaming alone Only dreaming alone Yet every night you pass me Will you ever know my name? Will you one-day stop at my table? Because you know - I have paid Yes I carry your image But no angel prayed for me tonight Perhaps a nightclub singer never listens It’s just a big parade with shiny lights Only dreaming alone Only dreaming alone |

Now if this place had sound we could hear the tunes that go with your lyrics...Always good to read them or sing them in your mind...

![]() Good write ![]() Hey thanks for the advice 1000111010123 lol. The lady in this song used to sing for me at times, and we would talk about an event she had one evening while singing. |
