Hello all. . .
Anyone here from the eastern shore of Maryland. It's a beautiful day and I'm trying to motivate myself to do something other than reading.

Yeah. I'm enjoying everthing about Mingles. I am a member of another socials site and I'm not as happy as with Mingles. This is more straight forward.

Where are you from?

Wyoming.Little town of Lander sitting up against the Wind Rivers. While today is a very nice day our winter will not officially end for another couple months. May can still bring heavy snows. They say Spring comes late to the high country and I believe it. So I will enjoy this day and hope for another warm one tomorrow.

Wyoming must be gorgeous this time of year. Any time of year for that mater.

Meeting people that you can relate to must be a challenge. Although I visited your profile and you have a lot a beautiful friends. Do you live alone in Wyoming?

Yes it is a challenge. Not many people, women especially, can endure the elements of a harsh winter. Meeting someone here is difficult. One of the pit falls of small town living.

The mountains that stand tall right outside my windows can be beautiful anytime of year. I do howeverf prefer the summer months mso I can spend as much time up there as I can. So until something changes I'll live alone out here and enjoy every minute of it.

Never been to Maryland. What's it like?

Maryland is quite nice. An asortment of geo types. It's got mountains (though probably not as dramatic as what you are accustomed to). It also has great water resources.
I live in a rural town about 100 miles from Washington DC. I'm in a similar situation as yourself. That is, compatible women are at a premium. Or at least I can't seem to find them. Probably my fault as I don't get out as much as I should.

I'm a semi-retired machinist/ engineering tech. What kind of work are/were you involved with?

There is no place to get out to and meet anyone here. Small town of 7000 leaves very little night life. Couple bars but I am not into the bar scene and never have been.

I've been self employed for ovefr 30 years in the floor covering business. I try not to work past three and very seldom work five days a week anymore. I once worked ungodly hours, no more. I enjoy my free time.

The valley here is at 5000 ft while the mountains reach as high as 10,000 ft. No little mountains out here

That's great my friend. . .
As long as we can relate to the natural world there is always hope of fulfillment.
I hope we cross paths again sometime.
Good luck with your hunting. . .

New to Brooklyn MD. Married a lady I met on here and moved from Louisiana.

So far I love it here.

Don't know how long it's gonna take to learn my way around here

Don't like the crappy gun laws they have but at least you can have one.

In Louisiana it is not illegal to carry a handgun in your car like it is here. Don't have to register them with the State Police either.

Other than that, It is great

Hi and welcome! I belong to another site, but hardly ever go there anymore. They seem to be busy cutting people down in the forums. Quite a waste of time. Mingles is great people.
