I have a questions, but some people do not like spoilers.

So don't scroll down if you don't want to know......

This is your last chance to leave now.....

For people who DID NOT read the graphic novel of this, how many figured out that The Comedian was the girl's mother from the 50 year montage in the beginning of the film.

Based on that info, the instant that I saw that the new Silk Specter was the daughter of the former Silk Specter, it all fell into place for me. I was the only one in my group that got it that fast.

So did anyone out there in Mingleland pick up on it that fast as well?

yeah I don't think the movie's story was done well in that movie because they didn't do a very good job at leading you to the climaxes "when you learn who the real bad guy is" "when John decides to leave to save the world" and "when the girl was comedians daughter" the only story that was done well was roarshock's"

I went to see it last night. Moondark...I DID read the graphic novel, so I knew. Just didnt wanna get too off topic, but I wanted to comment on the film.

Ok....a few things.

1) It was done almost perfectly page for page from the graphic novel (with the exception of "The Black Freighter" comic tie-in)...until the end which they totally changed.

2) Laurie had issues with smoking in the graphic novel. I'm assuming the MPAA had issues of their own with this being in the film. So...you can have full frontal nudity, rape, graphic violence (including animals), and graphic sex scenes....but you can't show an adult smoking a cigarette????? ohwell

3) Did anyone else notice Veidt's accent changing at the end? WTF was that all about?

All in all it was a good film, and stayed faithful to the book (for the most part). The cast also did a good job.

I haven't read the graphic novel, but Hollywood is good at that. Anyone read the Thomas Harris novel "Hannibal" and see the movie? WTF
