Topic: Ragtop convertables | |
---|---|
I have one and the top is starting to look pretty ragged. I can't afford the $1000+ to replace it nor the hundreds it would take to repair. Anybody have any suggestions of an affordable fix that I can do myself? The stitching on the trim around the windows is coming undone. Is there a product I can use that will fix this and with stand the weather? Duct tape is outta the question!

There is absolutely nothing you can do other than replace it, it only gets worse, I had a ragtop for 7 years, I tried eveything!!

I've owned 2 used convertables so far...both came with a lil top damage... On the seams, I bought a matching HEAVY-DUTY type thread (from a craft store) & actually sewed it up myself, using a canvas needle. It ain't the greatest "fix" but I took my time & it came out looking presentable...what color is your top?
