I recently picked up a book, Astrology for Dummies, and I have gotton totally hooked. Does anyone else here feel that there is so much more to astrology than most people realize? It totally explains so much. And so many great people followed it, like JP Morgan, Einstein, just to mention a few.

I've been using astrology in association with the Celtic Qalabah, Tarot and various Faery traditions. Although I probably use it in ways that are quite different from popular astrology. I use it more in association with the wheel of the year, and with psychological aspects of it.

In other words, I see all sun signs applying to everyone. All of these aspects of humanity apply to everyone. So I find it quite useful for introspection. It also offers insight into ancient pantheons and the psychological meanings of those mythologies.

Having said that I am amazed at how well Gemini fits how I see myself. I've studied all the signs and there's no doubt the Gemini fits me like a glove, and that's what I am.

So that's is strange. laugh

I've also been most attracted to women who are Gemini. All of my past girlfriends were Gemini and that was a total accident because I didn't find out until after we'd been together for a while. And I got along with all of them just fine.

My current girlfriend is a Bull and she acts like one too. laugh

But she's also very close to Gemini. I think she's a Bull with the horns of a Gemini. bigsmile

So maybe there's something to it.

Although in truth I tend to believe that it has more to do with the time of year we are born than the position of the planets. And of course, since the sun signs are indeed tied directly to the seasons that will always be an open question.

In any case I find the sun signs useful for psychological introspection. After all, they were made up by humans about humans, so it's not like they came from aliens.

Poetic bones in baseball caps
and Goblin’s brew from fantasy taps
with astrological contour maps
and Einstein’s dice in a game of craps

Imagination’s gone wild
setting free the inner child
writing verses just complied
for those who are beguiled

Witch’s watch with wretched eyes
the fortunes told in starry skies
of human fates and the vile demise
of skeptic science guys

Their baseball caps will turn to cones
their flesh will rot fall from bones
and when their girlfriend screams and moans
their hickey will go limp
