Topic: Al Franken? A Senator?! | |
---|---|
Politics aside. Did you ever in your wildest dreams, while you were sitting there watching Saturday Night Live, think of Al Franken as a U.S Senator?
Note: It's not official. His opponent has not exhausted all of his appeals, but it's a virtual certainty that he will be seated as the next senator from Minnesota. |

WEll you never really know what people are capable of, he shows one side of himself but you don't know him and probably is quite intelligent, or whatever it takes to become a senator..he surely can't be half as bad as Blagovich, and the one who went with that call girl and had to give up his post.

I never thought I'd see Gopher from the Love Boat, Sonny Bono, Ronnie Reagan, Ahnold, or Jesse the Body in politics either.. But they were/are.
Hell.. My high-school American history teacher ran for, and was elected Mayor. He held the office for about 20 years, until his death 2 or 3 yrs ago. (He used to shoot tennis balls at the heads of those that fell asleep, and come to class in costume..) |

I think Jesse The Body is the biggest surprise of that group.
Al is actually a fairly smart guy. Harvard grad in fact. |

Never figured Jerry Rubin going from activist to Business Tycoon.
Or, Abbie Hoffman to Environmentalist. |

He was just a real, down to earth guy. |

Al Franken is actually a pretty intelligent guy. His dedication and true abilities I guess we will discover.
Arnie, the good little Nazi, in my opinion was a sad mistake. Jesse Ventura is quite active now in movements for truth in government... that speaks volumes to me! Fred Williams is a sell out I feel but let's hear some other opinions. |

I also read where Kinky Freidman is thinking about running for gov in Texas- again.

That would be a kick! Have Don Imus as his adviser. A laugh a minute, especially if Don was in charge of the tele-prompter.
