I won't comment on the rest as I'm not informed enough, however, I really do resent being treated like a criminal because I want to buy sudafed. I buy the maximum amount "allowed" because most places are out of it anymore because of these rules. I have moderate/severe allergy and sinus problems and the only thing I can take is sudafed, as antihistamines cause me severe pain and nosebleeds. Sucks.
I here that, ran into that at wal mart, want your name and address if you buy the stuff, stupid

and winx, just because someone has bad teeth does not make the a meth head. Have you seen what a dentist charges, it's outrageous, Dental Insurance is beyond the reach of most people these day, not to mention health insurance.

Smiless,

My child's school had the DARE program last year. My child completed the program and they had a graduation.

http://www.dare.com/home/default.asp

I'm hoping that the school offers it again.

Every school should have this. I know the school my child goes to has programs also, but it is just utterly sad that not all schools (private or not) emphasize the importance of such education.

Most schools just go over it quickly and that is it.

There should also be programs for adults.

I mean it just seems regardless of these programs in schools or not, it doesn't seem to make a significant difference.

There has to be a better alternative and that would be my primary question.

Is there a way to resolve the issues on drug use and addiction to this country?

I wish I knew the answer to that, Smiless. Heavy sigh.flowerforyou

Someone close to me is a recovering addict. I used to go to Nar-Anon.

I used to work in the VA drug rehab. There is always a waiting list for that program

That explains a lot, one of the ones that sterotypes people that is seeking help or has bad teeth. If they ask for a pain pill, oh, you need drug rehab, you just want a buzz , depressed, oh, you need rehab, must be a druggie, lets see your teeth, Well Mr, so and so, you have bad bad hip, here is a walker, well doc, can I get something for the pain, oh no, here you need a drug test, what do you need a pain pill for, VA staff, nurses and doctors all need to be lined up, snakebit shot and promptly hung. They all suck big wieners, they are at the bottom of their profession, only get x amount of money, can't make the porsche payment like a non VA doctor and really don't care, they are just there for a paycheck and to be arseholes. I speak of VA hospitals in Louisiana and North Carolina, but they are much the same everywhere I would think. Haven't went to the one in Maryland, probably will not either, The people here are weird enough, don't want to have to go through all the crap again just to get some meds.

I am fully aware of the cost of dental care. I pay cash. I have to pay cash for my child's braces too.

I didn't say bad teeth. I said meth mouth. There's a big difference from regular tooth decay and meth mouth.

I am not stereotyping.slaphead

I wasn't talking about bad teeth. I was talking about meth mouth.
Big difference.

I have a problem with the VA hospitals too. I even did a thread on it. My child's father doesn't get treated right by them.

I also know that the VA doesn't do much for teeth. They like to pull them. I think they should be fixing them instead.

I find most often that at the very tops, there are agendas that run in opposition to what the dogma teaches.

Faith is a good thing, but not when it's blind and unquestioning.
I think you can learn some things about history from the older ones, but I don't trust any religion that can change it's ideas and then just carve up or destroy the books that their faith was supposed to be based on.

Organized religion seems to be a trap to me. Especially now, considering the Clergy Response Teams, designed to teach Romans 13...
