It is the basic tenet of Xianity and the answer to "Who killed Jesus?" Why you did of course, if no one else very lived except you, he would have to die for your sins. I think it's a "yes or no" question, unless you're trying to change the topic.

I believe Jesus died my sins as well as for the sins of the world and, therefore, we are all saved because of what Jesus did. I am far from perfect, but after much thought, study, and consideration of the character of God as presented in the OT vs. the character of Jesus in the NT, I believe they both are not at odds with one another and they have the same vision and intent. I believe all are saved because of God's unconditional love(that means no conditions) and God's gift of grace (that means, to me, freely given and nothing required on our part to earn it). Yes, I could be wrong, but like anyone who has faith in what they believe in, I believe what I believe because it makes sense to me and my perception of God's character. And, based on what I believe, THAT is what God's love is: It continues to love you so much regardless of what you have done or may do. It wants you to realize your wrongs and admit them. True love is patient and it remains with you until you get it right. No matter how long it takes for you to get it right. Love dies for you even while you are still sinning. Love does not say it loves you and when you get it wrong, love abandons you for dead. God's love is quite the opposite of human, fleshly love. My very humble opinion, of course. Love forgives over and over and over and over. And, again, God's love is unconditional. If there are ANY conditions to God loving us, that makes God's love conditional and, therefore, based on things we do or don't do. I don't believe God loves us that way. Humans may, but not God. If God's love is indescribable. If it is so wide and so deep that it cannot be fathomed or understood, THAT is not like human love. It's better than human love and, in my mind, unconditional. Whereas, a lot of the time, a human's love is conditional. God's love is higher than ours.

I do believe he died so that we all didnt have to suffer spiritual death and separation from God.
When Jesus died He earned the right to "rescue" or "save" individuals. He was sinless. He did not deserve to die. It was His choice. Now He can forgive the sins of anyone who wants his/her sins forgiven. It is our personal choice and He has left that decision to each of us. |

I know He died for me and everyone else....The Bible is very plain on that subject.....One just has to accept Christ as their personal savior.

Sin separated us apart from God. Through Christ's sacrifice, for OUR sins, the price was paid in full, and we are redeemed when we accept Christ as our savior with a sincere heart.
Am I perfect? No, not by a long shot. But Christ led by example, and gave us that example to follow, and in our day to day lives it's when we try to live by that example, that we are lifted by Him and bring glory to the Father. |

Hey, no one is blaming the Hebrews here. Jesus himself said that no one can take his live, save that He lay his life down for us. Peter during his famous Pentecost sermon pointed his finger at his fellow Hebrews as instigators, but he himself was guilty of denying his Lord 3 times. So it's not a matter of who to blame but what do you believe & in whom? tf73 PS- not to be a killjoy but I shake my head as to why someone starts a post like this in this forum. What's the point? Aren't we preaching to the choir here? How are we reaching the "lost" this way? |

I believe Christ died for me and all of us. Its easy to be saved all you have to do is ask for salvation and have faith in the lord Jesus that he died for your sins and rose three days later victorious over hell and the grave. MARK 10:26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? 27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. LUKE 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest. ROMANS 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. EPHESIANS 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; Now though, let me ask you something, if I may? Yup, repent and believe, repent and believe, repent=realizing and turning from and apologizing for my sin that deserve's the punishment of hell, and believeing that Jesus Christ took that punishment for me on the Cross, showing me the righteousness and love of a mighty God, as Jesus credited His righteousness to my account, by pure grace to a helpless sinner.
