SALEM, Ore. -- Divers from the Linn County Sheriff's Office have recovered the body of a 20-year-old man who drowned in the Santiam River.

Anthony Dupuis of Salem was reported missing Saturday, May 16, after he jumped into the Little North Fork of the Santiam River at Salmon Falls Park, about 40 miles east of Salem, and never resurfaced.

The search was suspended the following day because of high water level and swift currents due to snow melt.

Background: Rushing waters prevent search

On Thursday, divers resumed the search and found Dupuis in an area just below Salmon Falls Park.
