Topic: The irony of having a Ball and Balling

So my friend wanted me to go see his new movie
So I did

I took my Mom
&
We had a ball

Other people had a ball as well
walking out of the same theatre 12

half of them balling

Balling over all the sad parts
that made it a movie so heartfelt
I could not start to describe
the need to cry

It was a story of love
life hope and courage

People trying to
help people

hurting one girl
to heal another

drama and trauma

the sound of noses being blown

here and there and everywhere
someone would brush their face
every so often

And
as I
watched my friend on screen
I felt honored to say
I know this guy
behind the scenes

He is ten years younger than I

with more wisdom than people I know
twice his age

I can remember him telling me
about two weeks ago, Jay, do
you know what you need-

Most of the times
when he see's me
down, he will start with
Jay, do you know what
you need-

And so I
unlike most my age
listen carefully
to a kid I feel
I should give advice
to based on age
travelled by experience
I am a realist

I swim with small
and big fish

When I am down
I hear it

I can talk to him

He can talk to me

We may not always agree
but we notice when the
other takes ones advice
to heart

it is in
our actions

seeds planted
springing up
toward a healthy
interaction

subtracting
the mercedez benz
of fake friends
known as physycologists

This is not an act

This is a friendship

No silver screen can
capture this unless
it was shot printed
and wrapped on the first
take

Watching my friend
from the near top
middle
row

I know
we balled and it felt
great

I've heard it's a double box of tissues movie but very well done and not a chick flick, but a human flick and that was from Mr. Sarcastic, Bill Maher.

I've noticed wisdom, like illness, does not segregate.
