ever wonder sometimes if a movie your watching could really happen to us? for most people its no, however, being a conservative and a proud one, it looks more and more like life will soon imitate art. movies such as vendetta, escape from new york, demolition man, and the ilk could soon be a reality. but some of us americans cant really comprehend a government that will take over lives because we are too lazy to pay attention to whats going on around us. and thats where the shame lies. as long as some have theyre beers women and drugs what should they care? well youll care when our government will tell you how to be treated in a hospital and they say no and leave you to die, youll care only after your beer is taken from you, youll care when you can longer express yourself as you do now. if you really want a world out of the book 1984 and i might add wathc the movie, great. that is where we are headed. no more mustangs no more playboy no more mansions. in the end will it all be worth losing your individuality just cuz you think our govt will take care of you? i think not this is a govt of the people for the people and by the people, but where are the people? the only real good thing we have to remember is the one line straight out of vendetta itself, "governments should be afraid of the people not people afraid of the government" but sadly we want government to be our mom and dad and once we lose our individuality as americans where are we going to be? exactly where we will want to be: slaves, all in the guise of fairness!!
