| Topic: WHO GOES TO CHURCH ? | |

I haven't been in more than 20 years. But I've thought about going back. I would attend a nondenominational church this time, though. I wish I could find a worship service that was held outdoors during warm-weather months. That would be cool. I always enjoyed weekend retreats when I did go to church. So nice to get away from the grind and reflect on nature and God and the spiritual side to life. I don't think church is mandatory for having a relationship with God, but I think it does help "set the scene" and enables us to set a aside a specific time and place to worship Him, whereas, without it, so many of us don't. I mean, I pray sometimes, sure, but I don't really take a lot of time for my spiritual needs or to thank God for all He's done for me.

I myself am a spiritual person but I do not believe in organized religion. That is not to say I do not believe in God. I believe in treating people, animals and all of the things here on earth with respect and the same as you would want to be treated. I believe in Karma and I try to be a kind and caring person.

I'm tired of having buildings collapse on top of me, so I just don't bother anymore.

Jean that is EXACTLY right "don't think church is mandatory for having a relationship with God, but I think it does help "set the scene" and enables us to set a aside a specific time and place to worship Him, whereas, without it, so many of us don't." Except you can worship God anywhere. Attending church DOES not make you any less of a sinner than those who attend. Thankyou for your words Jean Hugs
