The Genesis Planet was a planet located in the Mutara sector, that was
created from gaseous matter in the Mutara Nebula following the
detonation of the Genesis Device, at the conclusion of a fierce battle
between Khan Noonien Singh and Admiral Kirk.

Following the initial creation of the planet, Captain Spock's photon
torpedo tube was launched towards it, following his funeral service.
Because gravitational fields were in flux, his tube soft-landed on the
planet's surface. (

The Genesis Planet immediately became a galactic controversy, and
Starfleet declared it off limits until the Federation Council could
decide what to do. In the meantime, the USS Grissom was dispatched with
a scientific team that included the planet's co-creator, Dr. David
Marcus, to carry out a thorough investigation.

A minor skirmish occurred in orbit during the final degradation of the
planet where both the USS Grissom and the USS Enterprise were destroyed,
and a Klingon Bird of Prey was co-opted by Admiral James T. Kirk and his
remaining crew.

Initial scans of the new planet, from Grissom, indicated several
fascinating revelations, including "all the varieties of Earth's land
and weather, within a few hours' walk," according to Dr. Marcus.

Sector 1: Had foliage in fully-developed state of growth. Temperature:
22.2 Celsius.
Sector 2: Had desert terrain. Minimal vegetation. Temperature: 39.4
Celsius.
Sector 3: Had subtropical vegetation. Temperature decreasing rapidly.
Indications of snow.

Early evolution of space microbes
Later evolution of space microbes

The same effect that hyper-evolved the plant life on the planet seemed
to have the same effect on microbes on the surface of a burial photon
torpedo that soft landed on the planet shortly after it was created. The
microbes evolved in to multicellular organisms in very short period of
time.

Unstable protomatter, used in the matrix's construction by David Marcus
in his haste to complete the Genesis Project, caused the ecosystems it
had created to become dangerously erratic. This instability manifested
itself first in an accelerated rate of growth, then in micro-climatic
upheavals. Instead of flourishing, the planet began to experience heavy
geologic activity that resulted in the entire surface becoming molten.

I think Genesis was one of my favorite episodes.

hey spider I did mention that theory in the begining of the thread.

I see it a bit different.

The Old Testament is the Word of God as Given to the Hebrews.

So to me it gives us the creation of mankind and then shows what part of
Mankind was the begining of the Hebrew sub-species. The man we name as
Adam was the begining of Judeaism. The start of the Tribes of Isreal.

it goes like this.

Adam was the first man of the Hebrew line. He aquired Cain and breathed
able. Both of which became as nothing when Able was given to the earth
by Cain and Cain was sent packing by God.

So god appointed to Adam a new son Seth who became the forefather of all
things hebrew. Seth made the next human being Enos who created Cainan
to possess the land. (Seth had other offspring but through Cainan was
possession of the land passed. This is a part of the lineage of the
Tribe of Isreal.

There were other people out there they just were not included in the
lineage of the bible because that Book was the Given Word of God to the
Tribes of Isreal.

I used to wonder as a child where my family fit into the bible.

Answer is on the 6th day.

You see I am not of the Tribe of Isreal. Adam the man is not my
ancestor.

My lineage is from the Tanuth de Danuan.
