SALEM, Ore. – Detectives arrested a business owner for the murders of three associates found shot to death in a burning auto body shop last winter. Background: Triple murder

Myke Holmes, 70, and his girlfriend, 57-year-old Kathleen (Kay) Schera were found shot to death, along with 58-year-old Michael Nelson, on March 15 inside an Myke's Custom Rod & Speed Shop on Cross St. SE just before it burned to the ground.



Salem police



After an extensive investigation, Salem Police detectives Thursday arrested 41-year-old Marty Wendt for murder and arson.

Police said Wendt voluntarily agreed to go to the police station for an interview and was then arrested.

Wendt is an owner of Majestic Metals on19th St SE. Detectives said Wendt had business connections with the victims. Anyone with information in the case was asked to call Salem Police
