what is PET Milk please?

Evaporated canned milk. Not the sweet stuff.

?? these are the ones with peanut butter. The recipe is fairly universal but these really and truly are the classic no bake with oatmeal, peanut butter and chocolate. I have seen the ingredients vary from 1/4 cup peanut butter to as much as 3/4 cup but this is the classic cookie served in Texas school cafeterias for about fifty years. I still can't make them as well as my mom could.

Just substitute Karo for the sugar and adjust the peanut butter to whatever degree you want. I have compared enough recipes for this cookie to know that the proportions are fairly loose. The batch I made last month came out too dry. Karo probably would have solved that problem.
