Never had a problem with the guy. Highly talented, grossly underrated. There was once a time when he was king of the charts. I like Barry... He writes The songs about love & special things! Actaully, he didn't write "that" song at all.  It was written by Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys. First recorded by David Cassidy. The "I" in the title refers to "music" itself who "writes the songs", not a particular person.
