I think the ideal of a relationship having to go on forever undoes a lot of people... the disappointment of promises broken, expectations not met, a whole range of reasons.. and when it is placed in front of both people the blame game begins... Why not just honour the time spent together....? And say thankyou.... even when a partner has been unfaithful...'thankyou for showing me, we have different values'.. a partner is abusive...'thankyou for showing me, that you are broken inside.' and so on and so forth. It IS ok, to say to oneself....'hmmmm...nope this is not quite 'IT' for me...you are not quite 'IT' for me...thankyou, I have a clearer understanding of what I require. and then parting.

I do not think that there is any art so to speak... No matter how you look at it breaking up is not something anyone likes to do. I think the important thing is to truefull with yourself as well as with your partner. The sooner the two of you fiqure out that the relationship is not going to work, you need to kiss good bye. Bloody break ups from lieing to yourself or to the other person can devistating and not good...Be truthful and Sincere
