Hi everybody,
I'm a US native, but have been here in Italy for about a month and will be here until sometime in October.
I'd like to hear pointers from people in the area about where to go to meet local singles as well as Americans that are here.
I've met some lovely women and gotten phone numbers from several, but they are quite a bit younger than me, which is not a problem for me, but I'm not clear that their interest is in a short term 'good time' together, or if they're looking for something more long term, or in one woman's case, if she was a professional and was interested only in a pay based relationship.

There are so many different customs and societal rules that I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but still want to fully enjoy the 'scenery' while I'm hear.

A little guidance to a newbie is greatly appreciated--especially from local women, Italian or otherwise.

Well if you aren't sure what those women are looking for, why not either A) ask the question or B) be honest with them?
