I'm seldom offended by religious views. I consider myself pretty
tolerant about such things. Ordinarily the only time I object to
people's religious views are when they are restrictive in their
appreciation of other's freedom of religion.

I do however object in the special case where a certain religion would
profess any thing which would cause harm to others if followed. I object
to this sort of religion whether it applies to the extreme wings of the
religion or to the mainstream of that religion. I particularly dislike
any form of duplicitous behavior in a religion as well, such as a
standard which calls for harming others and the public face which denies
the standard while actually following it. You may know that I am
speaking here about some of the tenants of Islamic teachings.

I like specific things about the Christian faith. Included in these are
the fact that Christians follow someone who had the ideal to see to
everybody's salvation and good will towards one another.

In general I find Christians to have similar orientation. They have been
taught to care for others and they tend to do so particularly when
following their religious teaching.

I notice that many people tend to have Christian outlooks on society
while giving their allegiance to God. In this way the faith is very
similar and may in fact not reject Christianity and the beliefs that go
with it.

This subtle difference has roots going way back even to the Nicene
convention where the doctrines of Christianity were established. The
question being whether Jesus is God or Jesus is AS God and yet a
different entity.

As for my personal belief I am still learning.
