Salem burglary suspect arrested for going after neighbor's underwear
by David Krough Posted on November 17, 2009 at 3:02 PM SALEM, Ore. -- A Salem man told Marion County deputies he broke in and sorted through his neighbor's underwear drawer because he thought she was "pretty," deputies said Tuesday. On Saturday, a 26-year-old woman told police someone had been in her apartment on the 4200 block of Devonshire Court after noticing it looked like someone had gone through her dresser. The victim told investigators she was sure it was done by her neighbor, 31-year-old Abel Barrientos-Flores, since he had done a similar thing last year. She also accused him of vandalizing her car and stealing money in the past. Deputies arrested Barrientos-Flores at his apartment on Monday. He told officers he had broken through a bathroom window so "he could look at Lorena's underwear because he thought she was pretty," deputies said. He was charged with burglary, stalking and criminal mischief. |
