When bad things happen to innocent people like babies and children, the religious explanation is, "We can not possibly know god or why he allows such things, but do not question his will... it will turn out for the best. Only god can see the bigger picture ..." and on and on.

People make excuses in order to be able to continue this fantasy just so they can feel special and be able to hold the hope when they die you get to live in paradise for eternity. Think about it, it's fear based faith.

But one minute they know god and have a personal relationship, then the next no one can possibly know god. Huh? Convenient and illogical explanations for everything.

I will convert to one of these when missing limbs miraculously grow back instantly. I will worship anything with this kind of power....maybe not out of love but out of fear... absolutely.

If a being shows up and proves he can kill billions with just a wave of his/her hand or help them because he decides they are worthy? Yeah, I'll believe and encourage everyone else to do the same as me ... you see it's called survival in my world.
