Trace Adkins is scheduled to perform in Bossier City, LA with Martina McBride despite an earlier accident that claimed two lives and injured five others. Nine people were inside of Trace Adkins' tour bus when the accident occurred.
Approximately 9:30 a.m. Trace Adkins' tour bus was rammed by a Ford F-250 truck when the driver of the truck, Justin R. Maxey, 21, crossed into the southbound lane and hit the tour bus. The force of impact spun the truck at 180 degrees while the bus veered towards into a ditch. Trace Adkins arrived at the scene, spoke to the uninjured then left to acquire on the injured that had been taken to Vivian hospital according to KTBS. The accident unfolded on U.S. Hwy 71 between Hosston and Ida, LA in north Caddo Parish. The Caddo sheriff's deputies are investigating. Trace Adkins and Martina McBride are to perform tonight during their Shine All Night Tour. No change in tonight's performance has been listed on Trace Adkins' website nor Martina McBride's. The show will go on as scheduled! Trace Adkins knows something about auto accidents and what they can do. In Adkins' youth he was in an accident involving a vehicle where both legs, one arm, and some ribs were broken. But that wasn't all. Part of his nose was ripped off. Trace Adkins, 48, began his career with his first single There's a Girl in Texas. From there he went to Dreamin' Out Loud. The five victims transported to Vivian hospital had minor injuries. Justin R. Maxey and the passenger of the Ford truck, Jeffrey R. Ferguson Jr., 36, were both pronounced dead at the scene. |
