Path Taken?

Soft summer breeze on the Ocean shore,

Figure sitting on rock in the moon's twilight.

Waves’ splashing as water hits the sand floor,

Seagulls spread their wings and take flight.

Lonely, the figure is, yet thinking of the past,

Quiet is the night except for creatures nearby.

Explosions in the mind, thoughts compelling will last,

Consciously wondering, shuffling dreams asking why?

Decisions once made through life the reason here,

Figure stares at horizon, former years are dead.

Knowing the future, what's in store, the figure fears?

Mixed emotions, silent throbbing, walls in the head.

Yes, at the crossroads of which lengthy path to take,

Contemplating well into the night as it lives on.

Dressed in black, eyes dull, is everything around fake?

Hours pass, the dark figure still haven't the urge to be gone,

Choice now chosen, will it be alright or all in vain?

From behind, Dawn casts long shadows on deep blue,

Tears flow freely from the figure, reality present pain.

Slowly rising up will eternity come suddenly unglued?

Heaven, Hell, Stars, Sun, Earth, Moon or Idol faith chosen,

Leading to somewhere/nowhere, new beginning interwoven.
