ASTORIA, Ore. -- A U.S. Coast Guardsman new to Astoria got an unwelcome house-warming gift earlier this week.
He woke up to find a three-foot long python. The snake was warming itself on the baseboard heater in his apartment. The man had just moved from Florida and said his belongings had been in storage for eight months, so he didn't think it came from his boxes. Anyone missing a python was asked to call Astoria Police.
