And I still don't see a point in going "We don't know, therefore God!"

All "I don't know" means is that at this time we do not have the knowledge. To say that it must be god is a non-answer, it doesn't actually teach us anything, and it stops the desire to continue to expand our knowledge.

So, I still see no need to invoke a supernatural explanation (i.e. god) simply because Science has not yet found the reasonable, rational explanation.

I'm not arguing for the existence of a 'god' or 'spiritual essence' to reality. Only that the possiblity has been far from ruled out by anything in science.

Although, having said that, I do feel that certain pictures of a personified intervening "god" have already ruled themselves out via their own absurdities and contraditions. No need to even bring science into the picture when a religious scripture claims that "god" is all-wise and all-powerful, and then goes about telling stories of the same entity doing truly unwise and pathetically lame things.

Sometimes science isn't even required to see through certain religious fables.
