I hope she beats Boxer in November, that hag needs to go.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - California Senate candidate Carly Fiorina is questioning why the Obama administration is not suing San Francisco for its sanctuary policies on illegal immigrants.

The Republican suggested the federal government engaged in political posturing when it sued Arizona over its illegal immigration law. She made her statements Monday during an interview with KCBS radio and CBS-5 in San Francisco.

Fiorina supports Arizona's law, which requires law enforcement officers to question a person's immigration status if there is reasonable suspicion they are in the country illegally.

She asked why the government is not suing San Francisco over its Sanctuary City policy?

It was adopted in 1989 to help refugees from Central American countries torn by civil war. It directs officers to turn over illegal immigrants only when they are booked for felonies.

once someone is booked, wouldnt their citizenship be a bit more apparent then just being 'stopped'?

I am missing the comparison,, is there someplace at which I can read the actual policy?

Its more of the fact that SF and other cities allow criminal entrants into their cities, make no effort to report them to ICE and make sure they are taken care of. Usually church's handle this and the city is perfectly ok with it.

I am empathetic to the situation. Similar to how priests and lawyers are not to disclose privately discussed information for fear that 'trust' will be harmed. Positions like that are based in non judgment, strictly meant for aid.
