I think you are only as old as you think think you are. It's a frame of mind. I might be in my 50's, but I don't feel i'm ready for the nursing home yet. happy Now I'm just smart enough to know not to do some of the same things I did at 20.

I'm not that smart!ohwell

I bet you even come in from the cold!

I never have a problem meeting men my age. I think that there are a lot of nice gentleman that prefer to date women in their age group, and the ones that don't oh well that's their problem. It's all about preference.A person isn't going to get very far if they 'stereotype' everyone,do you know what I mean?

i offer all the time to meet old horny ladies but they don't answer or if they are horny they don't want to tell you and want you to chase them to get sum. I don't run after them anymore I walk only so far....if you are attracted then do something about it.yeah I know women want a dna sample and a complete family background. what is wrong with having a sex only relationship if thats all you want??

I think most women want more than just sex. they want intimacy. A relationship with the other person. Doesn't mean you have to get married.

I think the men in our age group are more interested in dating women 10-20 years younger than themselves, making them fool themselves that they are that young also.

They are seeking their own youth.

.....and then there was the guy that told me he had a 30 year old mind in a 60 year old body. It seems a waste of time - 30 years, that is.

1. Do older women realise how much they complain about older men looking for youger women? I've visited several dating site forums and whenever there is an over 45 or 50 group that is a dominent theme. It may be happening but who wants to date women who appear to have nothing else to do but complain about older men.

2. I understand that some men are always messaging women for sex. Not all of us do this. When we read your profiles and if 1/3 is taken up with warnings against mind games and game players we figure you've been burned and you'll have a wall up a mile high. On top of that a first date, sometimes, seems to be like a job interview or performancce review.

3. Younger women don't gripe as much. Older women seem to complain about everything an older man does or says. Not asking for you to lower your standards but develop realistic ones.

4. Younger women try to take care of their physical appearence more so than older women. When I view women's profiles my age (50 to 65) half are significantly overweight and their hair style looks like my grandmothers.

5. Many of us want an average woman of our age. At our age we know an average woman will have wrinkles and a few extra pounds. However, 50 to 150 extra is not "a few extra pounds". I had an obese woman get upset when I said, "thanks but no thanks". Her response: the usual pre-thought out answers

1. You only want eye candy.
2. You want a trophy to hang on your arm.
3. Attractive women have no personality.
4. You only want a Barbie doll figure.

Women have their preferences and defend their right to have them. Well ladies, so do men, and we have a right to our preferences and if women are excessively negative and overweight that's your choice. However, we don't have to accept this. By the way, the same goes for men. I cannot understand how some guy who's lunch hangs over his belt can expect some attractive woman to chase after him. He claims to have an athletic physique but he can hardly tie his shoes.

In fact ladies nothing has changed much, really. It's just like it was in high school. I don't chase after the highly attractive Barbie's because they have every man in town chasing them. On the other end of extreme, highly overweight woman do not turn my head and, whether you can accept this or not, we all want to have someone that we can look at and find at least somewhat attractive. You want to turn men's head's again, I suggest you work on being less negative and less overweight.

I've mentioned this a couple of times.

Sometime when I was in my 50s, i was marveling at how much more attracted I was to older women than I used to be. Then I realized that those older women were my age.

I'm not sure if that helps answer the question, but it says to me that appetites adjust with age. Some of the laws of attraction stay pretty much the same, If you find love and take reasonable care of yourself, you will remain beautiful to somebody until the day you die.

Yes, what I said was harsh. When I was a teen I remember divorced ladies in their 50's and 60's who had the same attitude towards men. Never could find anything positive to say about men and they all died single.

I've worked hard all my adult life to be in shape and no woman has a right to tell me I am shallow because I won't accept a woman who hasn't taken care of herself. Actually that type of woman is the shallow one.

I think that most woman "our" age have a hard time finding someone because they don't put themselves "out there".

You are not going to find the "love of your life" sitting at home watching TV and knitting.

It seems that most women are afraid to venture out anywhere alone. And I don't mean hanging out in bars. They spend their time with the same small group of friends, shy from making even casual contact with anyone they don't know, and then wonder why they don't meet people.
maybe lack of energy?? i've had one woman who was forward enough to say hi how are you and show interest..and asked if i was available, this is in the last 10 years, the others were oh yeah hi and I'd rather go watch the cooking channel..go to where the men are!!learn to like men stuff..get outdoors..country dancing is great..thats where I meet most women..try it

Vivian calls it like it is. Some of these remarks are just plain "BULL". (opinion)
I think as we get older, we get more chosey. Some people are just looking for sex. Some are still searching for a "soulmate" & want to find one before they die. Some are just seeking a special type of companionship. Bottom line, it is all just a personal choice.

"INTENTION = RESULTS"

What you REALLY want; you will find.

Now go FIND it.

Do you think generalizations are results of disappointments, anger, rejections? I don't mind being the way I am, sometimes. I don't mind saying no. I enjoy saying yes. I like a good healthy discussion. Hate rejection and when it hurts, I might have a tendency to rationalize and ..honestly..I could generalize as good as anyone.
I love ..
INTENTIONS = RESULTS..
it spurs me on to evaluate my life and work at improving.
Sometimes in a bit of a growl..I have to admit..I have a long way to go.

I appreciate you, Don, Viv, Jeff..and even Indiana..we all have something to say..even if it doesn't feel encouraging.

We view through our lens. Our lens has a perspective, perception all formed through our life and experiences...how does love see through this lens that is attached to a heart, a heart that has lived according to an individuals life?

You see me as fat. You see me as not fat...It depends how willing you are to just see..me. Shall I serve you..or shall we serve..each other..either way you will be touched by my life. That touch..is where importance lies...So, I will examine my heart, for me..it is important you would just know me... choice...I have choice..

I can only speak for myself. [I am sorry if this hurts anybody's feelings. That's not my intention]. I am turned off by older women who have surrendered to being old. I don't like old-people's clothing fashions. I don't like old-peoples' hair styles. I don't like doilies and Hummel figurines all over the place. I don't like the smell of moth-balls.

A lot of older women seem to have just stopped trying.

You have taken the time to know these older women. That is quite ambitious, revealing. shows the level of caring and your willingness to give and take. Could be a desirable trait for the right person.
