yes but if u cant man up and approach a woman = a lot of women won't respect that. And we do approach men, even just by saying hello - it's what u do with it. Even tho the man should do the asking, women also risk rejection. It's just as bad to not be asked by a man for a second date as it is for you guys to be rejected when you ask for a first date

and u dont have to go all formal and ask for a formal date right away. to build your confidence ask a little bit at a time - maybe just ask to take a break together if ur at work or the gym & do just a few simple things like that before asking formally for a "big night out" if ur just hanging out together at the gym or whatever, you should be able to get a pretty good vibe as to whether she'd say yes to a "real" date -jmho
