Laying here half awake, half asleep
tangled between memories of last night
and the smell of you on my sheets

I can faintly hear you breathing
Through squinted eyes
I can see the rise and fall of your chest

You are wonderful...

I see you peeking through tired eyes
And I giggle just a little
You pull me into you
Ahh that familiar comfort

You whisper sweet nothings
And about....last night
How you are going to be late to work
And how you want to lay here all day

I take in a deep sigh
And the sun comes peeking through
I kiss you gently on your temple
And say goodmorning to you

I see the creases come alive
A smile has risen upon your face
You take my hand and gently caress my palm
"We'll do this again tomorrow" you softly say

I lay my head on your chest
And cuddle a little closer
And gently drift back off to sleep
