I am a Vietnam vet, And have my share of wounds too, some seen some not!!!!!!!! We are also proud of your son!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purple heart dude? Hope you have no parts missing! I survived without a scratch...well, got a scratch but not a medal scratch! Congrats for surviving. I went to nam vet counseling at the VA for years and all they did was talk about it. I guess it helped, but I'd rather forget it...and doing my best to do so!

So many boys went to Vietnam and it's sad that so many never made it home. Sadder still that the ones who made it home came back to an unwelcoming atmosphere most of the time. I think all who came back had scars on the inside that changed them for the rest of their lives All war, affects people on both sides. I am grateful that my son has come back this time and that there seems to be a better network for the returning soldiers in this generation. Yellow ribbon ceremonies teach families of the networking and help available on the soldier's return. For every prayer I sent for my son's safety, another was said for the families of the ones who paid the ultimate price. He has seven more years (I think) to earn a pension. So there will be more tours, and more risks in the future, but for now I'm so happy that the biggest worry will be the wedding going smoothly and their house getting built on time. Oh yea...and GRANDKIDS

I think Jade is still up on cloud 9 Do you think we need to hold some job interviews for a new bar-maid for her? Any job applicants out there?
