Topic: Can't upload additional pics on my mac

It let me upload my first photo when I signed up, but additional photo upload doesn't work in either safari or firefox. It immediately hides the little filename entry field and browse button, and while the upload button appears and lets me find the file, the upload bar just hangs and sits there. Anyone else have this problem?

Technical specifics? Powermac G5 Dual 1.8 Ghz w/ 1.5 gigs of ram running 10.3.9. I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.5 and Safari 1.3.2

Currently I've tried clearing personal data (cookies, cache, etc) and that had no luck. I'm assuming it's Explorer native code, but I could be wrong.

Thanks :)

When I press upload Photo, my picture folder jumps up, I only have to select and open the picture and JSH does the rest.

I actually work on a mac and it works fine for me. The uploader is actually flash so it's not internet explorer specific. Do you know what version of flash you have installed?

Hmm. There's the Java plugin 1.4.2 (version 2.3.0) in the system profile under applications. The newest version requires Max OS 10.4, which I haven't really wanted to upgrade to. You make a good point though - the version i have is copyrighted 2003 - 2004? dang.

i see the outline of the progress bar ok, and it fades in all pretty-like. then it just stops with a blue progress bar outline. i've let it run for a half hour with no progress, and i'm uploading images that are like 30k and jpeg format.

Hmm...sorry not sure what to tell you. It's hard for me to debug because I can't reproduce it myself. It sounds like some kind of flash issue but I'm not clear as to what could be the cause. I don't think it has anything to do with Java.

Can you try upgrading your version of flash to see if that helps?

i got around the problem without worrying about my mac. uploaded them to photobucket, downloaded them locally on a friend's computer and uploaded them here. if you want me to continue working through the issue on the mac, i'd be glad to try to figure out what the problem was for future reference. it doesn't seem like it's a common issue for mac users, so it's probably something weird on my computer and nothing to worry about here. thanks for your help and your time :)

Hmm that's strange. Well glad you found a workaround. We also reverted back to our old html uploader, so you might be able to upload from your mac again now. Let us know if you have any more issues.
