Dear Diary, I had a fun night. I got to work with the 21 midget who weighs maybe 90 pounds. I thought she was only 18. It was easier just lift the heavy ones by myself because she is just too short to work with as a team to lift them out of the geri-chairs since she only comes up to my belly button. As usual I wind up learning from the people I work with. Like what else is new.
Found out the reason she was having the beds so low was not because of her heighth but because it was easier to lift them into bed. I am finding that the ones I have trouble dealing with that others do too and that I don't have a monopoly in dealing with their anger when they are in the dementia. As usual this one male resident I have dealing with responds better to females - doesn't matter which female. Imagine that a man that likes women better. Go figure. Its not just me. Has nothing to do with me or any other male he is taken care of by. God I am getting too old for my job. I just can't keep up with the young ones.
