A survivor has gotten the Army Corps of Engineers to consider updating their signs around dam sites. In the Ozarks there are five major lakes between Arkansas and Missouri; Lake Taney Como, Lake Bull Shoals; Lake Beaver; Lake Norfolk and Lake Pom DeTerre. When the dam is closed the water level around the dam is low and the reverse is true when the dam is open. Presently there is a sign that says a horn will blow when the water is let loose from the dam. Some real good fishing and swimming when the water is low. The survivor's words on the radio when the water was let loose was, "I can't believe there was that much water and the force was really something. I was just glad my kids weren't with me."
