Sad Reality

The roar of silence falls on deaf ear
Whispered prayer to a perceived heaven rises
Mankind has failed at humanity
The world at war suffers

Children, devoid of laughter
Buildings, vacant and decayed
Eyes, hollowed by hunger, oppression
The land, ravaged by destruction

Evil tongues lie, rule
The hopeless listen
Sanity fails
The end of reason upon us

Wealth turned to debt
Hope to existence
Prosperity to famine
Pride to prejudice

Freedoms lost to fear
Challenge to desperation
Life to existence
Peace sought in death

The moral soul feels shame
Spirit lost to depression
Conscience plagued by deeds
Suicide claims another soldier heart

You've a clear vision... and you express it well!
Very beautiful.

Write an offer of hope in all this messiness...
How does one move from hopelessness and shame
to something better, without revealing their current position?
Then pass it forward... one+one+one=many?

truly sad holiday that our government has poisoned are mines and our children that we escape the truth. things that we can buy with money. that we're not really people were just a paper a pound disposal without morals left to the genocide of our thought that a new car new home plastic surgery and Prozac well just make us forget...forget about the uprising that sure to follow to stop all the squandering and to feed our children and taking back are soldiers young and old. so that Congressman can't pass a bill to pay his self more money. I remember as a middle school student learning about our deficit how much debt our country's in. So unity we stand lets just takes back what ours.
