Cynical...Not even remotely hopeful. Pretty sure I'm to roam this land alone, the same way I came into it. Certainly open to succumbing to the mental condition, probably should quit calling it a mental condition, but it is so hard when it is so similar to schizophrenia.

God, can one possibly imagine a world in which everyone had someone that they were ecstatically in love with; everyone, be it pairs, threesomes, etc. that no one is left without...ummm, I must be thinking of the K Pak books and movie with Kevin Spacey...oh where is that planet.....

How would you describe your views about love and relationships?...Are you cynical? Paranoid? Burnt-out? Bitter?...Or do you feel hopeful? And open to the possibility of falling in love?...Are you "half and half?" (Positive one day and negative the next day?) What are some of your fears?

I think love and relationships are as close to magic that mortals will allow and they are wonderous things.

No I am not paranoid, burnt out, cynical or bitter. I am not confident though. I do not think men find me all that attractive. eh well...

I am hopeful. I have my little crushes but .... aye?

sometimes I do lose hope but I don't see that as negative....no I am not negative but

"I am....one Budweiser than I was a minute ago"winking

Paranoid, not all, same with 'burnt-out', I remain open, or so I'd like to think about the possibility of finding someone compatible to leave the doors open to love actually developing.
I'm not quite sure if it's bitterness or just cynicism from so many years alone. Some-days it is hard to function the Blues just overwhelm you and you stay home in the dark until it passes. Nothing, music, TV or drawing makes it go away. Some-days I wish that I had someone to talk to or just be in the same dwelling. Isolation however does have its advantages...at times. I rarely go out if I can help it which I know doesn't help but that is how I've lived since childhood despite all the traveling that I've done from one job to another; it was always alone and I even got to expect isolation from most people...
Now, most women that I've met that are 50 or above are all your everyday alcoholics and those in their 40's are almost as bad. What is the old saying,"Lonely men seek companionship; Lonely women sit at home and wait. They never meet." One might add that from my experience, most of the women are too drunk to get up...(my late wife became that way mixed with drug addictions and ended up a suicide. She refused all help. Still, what a shame, what a waste of a once beautiful person and mother....

I make a point of not letting it become too important to me actually.

I do realize this attitude is counterproductive, and it’s not entirely lost on me that the very fact that I make a point of minimizing the importance means that it’s more important than I want to admit. The fact that I acknowledge it probably means that I am more hopeful than I'd admit. huh

No, it’s not lost on me that I just did admitted it.

So you feel hopeful? It's okay to feel hopeful. Isn't it?...Are you superstitious? Do you think admitting that you feel hopeful could "jinx" your luck and chances? Just curious...

No, I’m not superstitious GreenEyes.

A bit complex? Maybe.
A tad twisted? Probably.
A little cheeky? Definately! tongue2
Just curious...How would you define "cheeky?" (I'm trying to learn new things!)...I definitely understand "complex." How about "twisted?"...I'd probably call myself "quirky" and "off the wall" or maybe even "eccentric" at times...But I can be practical and logical and methodical and "down-to-earth" and even predictable at other times. How about you? Thanks!

Sorry, it took me a while to notice your question.

Cheeky is similar to saucy or sassy. I'm in the habit of using it because that was practically my Grandmother's pet name for me. laugh

Twisted would be comparable to "off the wall" in the way that I mean it and not in the demented form of the definition.

Sure, at work I am practical, logical, methodical, "down-to-earth" and very predictable, which maybe why the reason I'm cheeky and twisted at home. laugh
