Anyone into soapmaking and how do you make them-melt and pour or cold-processing? I make mine using the melt and pour technique.

If you are interested in making soap, try going to a craft store such as AC Moore or Michaels for soapmaking kits and books. If they don't have anything, try an online store such as Brambleberry. If you turn your hobby into a business, try joining the Handcrafted soapmakers Guild.

Cold process, makes great soaps just like the old days. The skill is in understanding the various oils/butters and their characteristics. For example, coconut oil will lather even in salt water but is very mean to the skin (drying).

      I don't know about soapmakers? There's a couple that i'd say are soap-dodgers though! | |

Love home made soap for all the stuff that is NOT in it like commercial soaps.
